fAQ & PRODUCT CARE

If the bulbs and shunts are both damaged the entire light string will lose current flow and go dark. You will need to manually check which bulbs are broken and replace them in order to light the string back up. You can purchase a light scanner at most hardware stores if you prefer not to do this manually. If the bulb is broken but the shunt is intact, the rest of the light string should still work. NOMA provides 2 spare bulbs in all light sets (except rope lights where the lights can not be replaced).

Can I replace the lights in my rope lights?

No. Rope light LED’s can not be replaced. Before, disposing of a set, check that the fuse has not blown, and replace if required. The fuse will look gold if it has blown. NOMA rope lights come with a spare fuse to replace if this is the case.

Can I bend my rope lights into shape?

Yes, one of the benefits of rope lights is their pliability for items like lining doors and wrapping railings. However, it is recommended that you do not bend your lights beyond 90 degrees or the strands may lose light and connectivity entirely.

Can I connect any type of string lights together?

You can only connect the same light type to each other, but the color can vary (e.g. you can not connect a C9 to a C6, but you can connect a red C6 to a blue C6).
You also cannot connect LED to incandescent lights even if the bulb in the same size (all NOMA lights are LED).
